Psychedelic Content Marketer
I’m Adam, and I’m a psychedelic content marketer and psychedelic content writer. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, where I got my master’s degree from N.E.I.U. My studies focused on mass media, persuasion, and propaganda, and I wrote my thesis on the Heaven’s Gate cult.
I have worked in marketing most of my life, aside from 4 years teaching English abroad. I have 15 years of digital marketing experience focusing on content marketing. I’ve worked in various fields including entertainment, online reputation management, sales training and home gym equipment.
Psychedelic Backstory
My two foremost character traits are learning and curiosity. So, when I first tried psychedelics at age 18 in college, “the doors of perception” blew wide open. My psychedelic passion gifted me a predilection for truth seeking and travel.
After college, I always thought the next best place to learn about the world was to be in it. I left Chicago many years ago and have lived in Spain, Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Mexico.
Talking with a therapist once during a rough time of my life he asked me if I thought I was running away from life. I said, “I’m not running away from life, I’m running into it.” He said, “I like that answer.”
My relationship with psychedelics began to change in 2016 after my mom died. I started using them more in a spiritual context to cultivate deeper psychic communion. I had some profound experiences in nature; fleeting glimpses of the magic and mystery of life and consciousness.
Plant Medicine Redirection
When 2018 arrived, an unexpected guest appeared in my life. Ayahuasca found me. I wasn’t seeking it, and yet it crossed my path. Life’s enigma of random design led me to Lake Atitlán in Guatemala.
Psychedelics and plant medicine took on whole, new layers of significance for me. The mystery of consciousness became even more intriguing while I learned how plant medicine can become a bulwark against life’s trials and tribulations.
Fast forward a couple of years. After my second ayahuasca retreat, a synchronicity happened with me during my first week of integration. A psychedelic company looking for content connected with me, and I began an unlikely career in psychedelics.
I decided to throw all caution to the wind and pursue a dream I never knew I had. I became a psychedelic content marketer and psychedelic content writer. Working in psychedelics was unheard of just a couple of decades ago. Meanwhile, I kept working with psychedelics and spirit medicine.
I’m experienced with psychedelics in recreational, spiritual and healing settings. My plant medicine experience includes ayahuasca retreats, to peyote in Mexico, and a traditional, Mazatec mushroom ceremony in Maria Sabina’s hometown. I’ve also done bufo in Mexico, and underground psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in the United States.
Except for iboga and salvia, I have worked with all the most well-known psychedelics in various contexts. The depth and breadth of my psychedelic and spirit medicine background provide me with rich and intimate knowledge, as well as first-hand experience to draw on for my work.
Psychedelic Content Marketer Benefits
Working as a psychedelic content marketer and psychedelic content writer gives me deep meaning in my life that no other job has provided. I feel part of something bigger than me, that I can contribute to for the greater good. The meaning stokes my passion and makes continuing education pleasurable. I’ve seen people like Roland Griffiths, Dennis McKenna, Jamie Wheal, Robin Carhart-Harris, and Anthony Bossis speak in-person.
I feel fortunate to be a psychedelic content marketer and psychedelic content writer. It’s not just a vocation, it’s a vacation too. Former NBA coach, and 6 time champion, Phil Jackson said, “Make your work play and your play work.” Jackson, an ardent follower of Zen Buddhism and Native American spirituality knows how to get the best juice squeeze out of life.
The ability to combine work and play makes my work effortless, tempered with unwavering passion and fulfillment. Learning never ceases to be a joy, and writing for hours seems to go by in minutes. These flow states confirm I’m doing my “cosmic job” and produce quality work. If my contributions help just 1 person find their best juice squeeze, bring on the lemons.
My Philosophy
Stay Curious
Be willing to meet new people. Try something different. Be open to new experiences. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Never Stop Learning
The mysterious beauty of psychedelics is infinite. Gaining insight often means unlearning what you’ve already learned. The knowledge and wisdom has no end.
Laughter is the Salve of the Soul
Psychedelics aren’t the only medicine. Laughing is spiritual strength that heals. Why not make someone laugh?
